HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR WEDDING DAY

The final days, and final nights, before your wedding day can be some of the best and also stressful moments in wedding planning. It’s all coming to this point - and it’s all ready to go! Lights, camera, action! So, here are some tips for things to do the night before, and the morning of your wedding, to calm the nerves and get you ready for the big day!

The Final Hours: How to Prepare for Your Wedding Day

Buddy System

Whether it is a member of your wedding party, a sibling, a family member, etc. be sure to have someone who is your go-to, right-hand person to know where the extra bobby pins, q-tips, flip flops, and anything else you need for the day-of. Having this off your mind will help you stay focused and centered as the day begins.

Extra tip: Make sure this is someone how knows you well. Someone who can read your body language. Someone who can anticipate your needs. They know when it’s time to take a break or what to do to keep you calm if stress arises!

Do something fun - and distracting!

The day before, or the night before depending on your rehearsal, plan something fun to do with the wedding party, family, or friends, to keep your spirits up and your mind at ease! This is an exciting time, why not celebrate it with some mini golf, arcade games, or a nice trail walk? It’ll help keep you distracted and having fun.

Keep yourself calm, cool, & comfortable

Set up your morning getting-ready space to be calming and comfortable. It can get kind of hectic with everything going on, but if your space helps to ground you, it’ll keep you grounded. You can get this done the night before, too, if you need something to keep you moving and your mind busy.

Press Play

Be your own DJ! Create a playlist of your favourite songs or pump up music to keep spirits high and to get you excited about the day - it’s YOUR wedding! Why not get the party started early with some jams.

Hydrate

Do whatever you have to do to stay hydrated throughout the day. Keep a water bottle on you and set a timer to have a sip every 15 minutes - anything! Your nerves will creep up on you, but staying hydrated is key to enjoying your day to the fullest.

Prep your wedding day bag

The night before, or even a couple of days before, prep your bag for anything you need the morning of and during the wedding: flats, accessories, mints, etc. Have it ready to go in advance so you don’t have to worry!

Be in the moment

Wedding days go by in a flash, so breathe. Meditate. Slow down. Just take your time and believe us when we tell you, you’re the main event, nothing is going to happen without you! So inhale, exhale, repeat. Cherish every moment with your family and friends!

A classic white wedding place setting never goes out of style! Julia and Gavin's elegant tablescape featured a smooth modern charger plate layered with a textured napkin, crisp white menu, and a neutral taupe place card. Set atop a whitewashed table,
I love rethinking a space that falls into the same floorplan over and over. We went wide with Julia and Gavin's head table snug up against the fireplace. It used the wide area of the room to its advantage, maximizing the seats! And a wide floral mead

What do you think? Should oversized seating charts stick around? We do!

Oversized seating charts are still having their moment—and for good reason. They’re not just eye-catching; they’re practical. The easier it is for gue
Hands down, 10/10. Mismatched bridesmaid dresses, can’t go wrong!
